Would you like a cup of tea?

TEA has a long history as a famous beverage and well known among health concerned people. It is known for the outstanding benefits and original beverage of Chinese and Japanese people.

Chinese and Japanese people drink tea commonly like drinking pure water. And with the medical benefits make them enjoy the lower rate of frightening disease such as heart disease and cancer.

The antioxidants in tea include Flavonoid, Polyphenols Catechin, Carotene, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Saponia, Magnesia and Selenium.

EGCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate), a substance in Polyphenols Catechin, can effectively prevent cancer and gives 2 times better result than vitamin C. Polyphenol Catechin in tea also contributes to reduce fat and Cholesterol in blood vessel. Moreover, substance in tea fight against bad bacterial those cause diarrhea, dysentery and infection without disturbing good bacterial.

Drinking tea alsostrengthens the immune system and good news for overweight people is that drinking tea improves metabolism system which contributes to weight loss.

There are many types of tea such as black tea, green tea and Oolong tea.

Tea is made of tea tree called “Camelia Sinensis”. The only difference is the production process. To get Black tea, tea leaves are pressed to remove the water until they get dry and then rolled and fermented. The fermentation of black tea takes longest time and so it gives dark color and strong smell. Oolong tea takes a half time to frement and gives not as strong taste black tea. Green tea takes a bit different steps to produce. To get green tea, tea leaves are streamed and pressed to dry within a short period. The difference in production process makes the level of polyphenols in each type of tea differs.

Green tea takes shortest time to produce and gives highest level of polyphenols and that could be the reason why health concerned people are fond of green tea.

Even though, tea is a traditional drink and seems to be symbolic of aged people's drink, young people in new generation are now aware of the advantages and green tea is increasingly become popular.

More dishes of food include green tea as ingredient. Green tea ice cream is an obvious example. Green tea is also produced in a convenient plastic bottle sold in supermarket. However, the better way to drink tea is to brew it fresh.

The traditional way of brewing a cup of tea that needs tea leaves, tea pot, tea set and boiled water may be troublesome for some people. However, there are new ways and very convenient method available such as tea bags or tea powder which easily melts by using just room temperature water.

To fully benefit from drinking Green tea is to drink it regularly 3 glasses per day. This should be done in long term for many years and the result will show in later years.

Green tea may be known for its high level of antioxidants, however, not everyone is suitable for drinking Green tea. Some could have side effect symptoms such as headache, dizzy or can't sleep because of the caffeine. These are actually not disastrous effects. The symptoms could be relieved by drinking light tea and drink it several hours before bed time.

To enjoy drinking tea we should ask ourselves which type of tea we like the best. To date, there are many kinds and favors of tea available in the market. We may switch the favor from time to time to find the favor we really like.
