The Forgotten Basic

Nowadays there are many brands and many kinds of supplements available in the market. Most people believe these supplements are good for their health and help maintain their health fitness.

We may not need the supplements if we can get complete nutrition from each meal we consume. Our bodies need rich in nutrition diet according to the five food groups; protein, carbohydrate, vegetable, fruit and useful fat. We need high nutrition food to maintain our organs works properly not only fulfill the hunger.

However, we are now living in a world of rush and the convenience is priority. We prefer buying to cooking. We are surrounded by fast food chains. We please our month rather than our health. We prefer tasty with sweet, salty, sour and spicy food to the light and mild taste. We like fried food more than steamed and boil method.

The food we consume each day is lack of nutrition and unbalance. We consume high fat and carbohydrate food while low in fiber and vitamins. The nutrition is destroyed by the improper cooking method. Deep fried cooking method turns the rich in vitamins potato to only a fat loaf.

If we revise our eating habit we can postpone the degeneration. We can enjoy longer the youth and minimize the oldness and illness. We can look younger than others at the same age and can live healthily away from the doctor.

We need to pause and think before putting something into our months.

Let’s prefer boiled and steamed food to fried one.
Let’s prefer easy digested protein to the hard one.
Let’s prefer the light and mild food to the tasty one.
Let’s prefer pure water to the sweet and alcohol one.
Let’s prefer vegetables and fruits to meat.
Let’s prefer breakfast to dinner.

Soybean

Soybean is a rich in nutrition diet. This small yellow bean can substitute meat and reduce many forms of disease.

Soybean is a common plain ingredient in many dishes in Asia. It provides protein equally to meat. However, instead of consuming saturated fat that usually comes with red meat, soybean has much lower fat and helps avoiding fat accumulation.

We actually should have only about a palm size of meat a day. And the rest of protein should be from plant product. To eat soybean regularly could automatically reduces the intake of meat.

The benefits of soybean are making this small yellow seed become more popular in western countries.

The advantages of soybean include helping decrease cholesterol, prevention of cancer, giving high fiber, prevention of quick change in sugar level (good for people with diabetes) ,giving protein but kidney work less as soybean is easy to be digested and also benefits people who are allergic for cow milk.

In Asia there are many soy products available in the market to cook and consume. To mention some of these soy products include soy sauce, tofu, bean-curd cheese, soybean oil and soybean milk.

The priests in China are vegetarian but they can survive without consuming meat. They get protein from many kinds of soy products. Moreover, there are other kinds of bean available that they can get protein from such as black bean, green been and red bean. Different kinds of bean also have different benefits to human body.

In China and Japan people enjoy lower the level of frighten diseases such as heart disease and cancer. The main reason contributes to their diet as the old saying "you are what you eat".

Women during menopausal period may face many difficulties both mentally and physically. The sign of menopausal could be depression, hot flashes and sleep disturbance. Many of women in this period face a quick decline in bone mass and may lead to osteroporosis. Moreover, the bone of women after this period could easily be broken.

The main reason to explain the occurrence is the estrogen deficiency. This is because estrogen hormone stimulate bone cell to build up the bone mass. As a result, when menopausal women lack of estrogen, the bone mass quickly decline.

Some physicians may consider prescribing substitute estrogen. However, it could lead to cancer promotion.

Another much safer solution to slow down the loss of bone mass is to take soybean. Soybean has isoflavone that works like estrogen hormone but no cancer promotion.

In addition, soybean also benefits men to reduce probability to get prostate cancer.

To fully gain the benefits from soybean, the regularity and quantity intake is essential.

Why Organic?

Organic is becoming more and more popular word. Do you know why it is so?

Let start with the first question "What exactly does organic mean?"

To explain in a very simple way, organic food is products produced in a totally chemical free environment and so organic products are believable to be good for our health.

"How good organic is to our health?"

Organic products are produced from animals or plants which are grown up without using any chemical substance. As a result, it is friendly to the environment as well as to our health.

The environment is kept away from artificial soil, chemical fertilizer,insecticide, hormone to accelerate growth and all kinds of synthetic substances. With the growing environment in such primitive way, these animals and plants slowly grow up in their own natural way in their own appropriate season.

The fertilizer is also organic.

The fertilizers for organic plants are such as cow manure and growing plants circulation. As mentioned earlier, the plants grow in its own season so different types of plants take turn to be grown up in the same piece of land. Season after season the land is plentiful of nutrition. Also, legume plant is grown and covered up to add nitrogen to the soil. This is a natural, primitive way of fertilizer. The environment with a balance ecological system enable these living things survive without using insecticide. The food chain with hunter and prey works in its way. The great and strong will survive and the weakness will be gone. As a result, we get products rich in nutrition. Good in quantity and quality, safety and best for the environment.

On the other hand, at present, the fertilizer is from chemical fertilizer and the same piece of land is grown with the same kind of plant all year round. It is commercial. The priority is the quantity. The nutrition in the soil is all gone. In addition, more and more of the pesticide is used when the ecological balance is destroyed by the use of pesticide. The agriculturers need to apply more and stronger dosage of pesticide over time. The reason is because of the insects and worms can adapt themselves to fight against the pesticide. The result of pesticide usage is the vegetable and fruits we consume today. They lack of nutrition and full of chemical. The ecological system is destroyed and the agriculturers suffer from chemical diseases like cancer.

With the more complicated method in growing an organic plant also make the prize double which could be a reason for many people discard the decision. However, that may be because they overlook some facts in the above paragraph that organic vegetables and fruits are about twice richer in nutrition than chemical ones. So it is not seems so expensive any more when we also consider other facts. We don’t have to worry about washing them, buying more of chemical detergent to wash them, save water and reduce chemical substance left over and accumulated in our body which over time we may have cancer for free. We may think for the argriculturers that we support them to have a better and longer life away from chemical synthetic substances.

It is now clear that organic food is natural clean and safe for us to consume. However, how can we know which producers are trustable and which are not?

There are many organizations especially set up to monitor organic producers. And their duties may include definition the meaning of “organic”, setting standard, issue organic certification, etc.

TEA has a long history as a famous beverage and well known among health concerned people. It is known for the outstanding benefits and original beverage of Chinese and Japanese people.

Chinese and Japanese people drink tea commonly like drinking pure water. And with the medical benefits make them enjoy the lower rate of frightening disease such as heart disease and cancer.

The antioxidants in tea include Flavonoid, Polyphenols Catechin, Carotene, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Saponia, Magnesia and Selenium.

EGCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate), a substance in Polyphenols Catechin, can effectively prevent cancer and gives 2 times better result than vitamin C. Polyphenol Catechin in tea also contributes to reduce fat and Cholesterol in blood vessel. Moreover, substance in tea fight against bad bacterial those cause diarrhea, dysentery and infection without disturbing good bacterial.

Drinking tea alsostrengthens the immune system and good news for overweight people is that drinking tea improves metabolism system which contributes to weight loss.

There are many types of tea such as black tea, green tea and Oolong tea.

Tea is made of tea tree called “Camelia Sinensis”. The only difference is the production process. To get Black tea, tea leaves are pressed to remove the water until they get dry and then rolled and fermented. The fermentation of black tea takes longest time and so it gives dark color and strong smell. Oolong tea takes a half time to frement and gives not as strong taste black tea. Green tea takes a bit different steps to produce. To get green tea, tea leaves are streamed and pressed to dry within a short period. The difference in production process makes the level of polyphenols in each type of tea differs.

Green tea takes shortest time to produce and gives highest level of polyphenols and that could be the reason why health concerned people are fond of green tea.

Even though, tea is a traditional drink and seems to be symbolic of aged people's drink, young people in new generation are now aware of the advantages and green tea is increasingly become popular.

More dishes of food include green tea as ingredient. Green tea ice cream is an obvious example. Green tea is also produced in a convenient plastic bottle sold in supermarket. However, the better way to drink tea is to brew it fresh.

The traditional way of brewing a cup of tea that needs tea leaves, tea pot, tea set and boiled water may be troublesome for some people. However, there are new ways and very convenient method available such as tea bags or tea powder which easily melts by using just room temperature water.

To fully benefit from drinking Green tea is to drink it regularly 3 glasses per day. This should be done in long term for many years and the result will show in later years.

Green tea may be known for its high level of antioxidants, however, not everyone is suitable for drinking Green tea. Some could have side effect symptoms such as headache, dizzy or can't sleep because of the caffeine. These are actually not disastrous effects. The symptoms could be relieved by drinking light tea and drink it several hours before bed time.

To enjoy drinking tea we should ask ourselves which type of tea we like the best. To date, there are many kinds and favors of tea available in the market. We may switch the favor from time to time to find the favor we really like.

Water is a Big Deal !!!

Nowadays, we live in a high toxic environment. The air pollution: toxic smoke from factory and automobile’s exhaust pipe. The toxin from food: preservative, artificial color, saturated fat, artificial sweetener, high sugar, salty, hormone in meat, pesticide in vegetable and fruit and other many kinds of synthetic substance.

We need to regularly rinse out the toxin as much as possible to keep healthy and minimize the illness.

One of the easy and vital ways is to drink sufficient water.

Water is essential for human body. We need sufficient amount of water to maintain body system work properly. Also water cleans and rinses out the toxic from our body.We need water about 3 liters every day. The amount of water each person need varies and depends on each person activities and lifestyle. There are also other factors such as the weather and health condition.

When we drink water at a sufficient amount regularly the toxin is also rinsed out constantly and our body is kept clean. On the other hand, if the toxin is accumulated without being taken out regularly the diseases are little by little formed.

In addition, drinking sufficient water improve skin condition to keep moisture, slow down wrinkle, blemish and freckle occurrence.

Drinking more water than normal level improves metabolism system and benefits weight losing.

The best water for our body to drink is just room temperature pure water.

Some people drink "Juice" as they think it is rich in vitamin and must definitely good and better than drinking pure water. That is only a part true. The very important thing to note is that "Juice" normally has high level of sugar. If we drink too many glasses of Juice a day we will automatically consume excessively sugar. Besides we also get sugar from other type of food such as rice, bread, noodle, flour, pasta and other carbohydrate food. We also consume other beverage and food with high sugar ingredient like soda, coffee, dessert, sweet fruit and a lot more to say.

Drinking water is the easy, very simple and the most basic rule to maintain good health. The first thing we should think of when we want to be healthy is Drink More Water.
